Today Ron White has been nominated for Grammy in the category “Best Comedy Album” for his 2013 comedy special “A Little Unprofessional”. Produced by Michael Blakey and Electra Star Productions, the album debuted at #1 on the Billboard Comedy Albums Chart in June 2013 and received RIAA Platinum certification.
Last Friday, November 15, the President of Electra Star Management Michael Blakey was honored with membership in the Producers Guild of America.
Producers Guild of America (PGA) is a trade organization representing the finest film, television, and new media producers in the United States. The PGA’s membership includes producers from all over the world.
After successful Segment 1 casting in Ukraine, Electra Star Productions announced the audition dates for the Segment 2 of the show – this time in Los Angeles, CA. The finalists of the video casting will participate in a televised audition on January 25, 2014. The candidate has to be a talented female singer of Slavic decent residing in the United States.
Exhilarating and electrifying, the audience will watch as a Supernova is created, and the most talented female singers of Eastern European origin will become a new world recognized singing star mentored and driven by the Electra Star Team.

Michael Blakey and Electra Star Productions crew returned back from Kiev, Ukraine, where the filming of the final audition for Supernova Star Search took place. Thirty contestants from different parts of Eastern Europe were competing to win a fully paid trip to Hollywood, CA and a recording contract with the record producer Michael Blakey.
The auditions were hosted by Adamo Palladino and Veronica LaVery at one of the most popular live venues in Kiev – “Tolstoy” club. The contest boasted a superstar panel of judges, including famous Russian television producer Sergey Kalvarskiy, Hollywood film and television director Leslie Small, and multi-time Grammy-nominated record producer, musician, and talent manager Michael Blakey.
According to Michael, all of the contestants demonstrated outstanding performance skills and had fantastic voices, which has made the judges’ job in selecting winners very difficult.
Although, after reviewing the footage from the performances the judges finally made their decision and announced the winners on Friday, November 1, 2013.

We are proud to announce that Sergey Kalvarskiy, a highly successful award winning Russian television producer, is now a part of the “Supernova Star Search” television show.
Sergey Kalvarskiy, originally from St. Petersburg, has produced and directed many famous shows on Russian television, including “50×50”, “Hot Ten”, Russian version of the annual Grammy ceremonies “Song of the Year”, “Morning Mail”, “Sound Track”, Russian version of the “American Idol” “STS Selects A Superstar”, and many more.
Together with Michael Blakey, Sergey Kalvarskiy will be judging the contestants and co-producing the show.
